I love this brand
Acrylic/collage on canvas
120 x 80 cm
This dynamically painted head marks a break in style for Kris Marko. Too rigorous and concentrated to produce aesthetic paintings in an academic way, he needed a freer and more spontaneous brushstroke to achieve a pictorial milestone.
The painting describes the act of deadly consumption, frivolous purchasing taken to its extreme and symbolized by the skull and all the colorful meanders that result from it. A sort of mockery of consumer society, which refers to a feeling of death.
