The cryer of monsters
Acrylic / collage on canvas
110 x 90 cm
This face, built on a multitude of small pieces of aluminum, represents an Asian woman with two white crosses painted on her skull. The crosses represent for the artist a confusion, a difficulty, an obstacle. They were added at the end.
Originally, the character dropped tears prolonged by heads which are his inner demons, his “archaic monsters” seeking to express themselves. Monsters that had decreased in size since the previously painted paintings. But the white crosses remind us of a malaise that has returned in the meantime.
